Citroen DS4 Revealed

I was impressed by Citroens efforts when they released the DS3 back in spring 2010. Although I reckon after all that hype the car hasn’t done that well. Purely going by the fact I hardly see them on road. But maybe its uniqueness didn’t appeal to all; I myself wasn’t too keen on it until I saw it in real life.

Citroen have just released the pictures of the new Citroen DS4 and I must say it’s looking pretty cool. I much prefer it to the recent similar sized vehicles released by Vauxhall or Ford. I can also see the new DS4 coming out in a variety of models and I look forward to what they produce to be in competition with the Vauxhall VXR’s and Ford ST’s.

The Citroen DS4 is a 5 door hatchback, which is styled to look like a 3 door hatch, which is quiet common now. It will come with a choice of 5 engines, 2 of which will be diesel and one which will be a racing standard engine, which will be tuned to produce 197bhp.

The DS3 tempted me to go for a Citroen, but I let the urge die away and now I have the Citroen DS4 tempting me. Maybe I should go check it out at Tates Citroen in Sussex.

Brown is the new Black

The last couple of years saw a rise in cars being released in white. It’s a cool colour but it’s starting to get boring. So it’s good news to see that 2010 seems to be bringing new hues into the market; the most popular seems to be shades of Brown. As always fashion trends always go full circle, so seeing brown cars reminds me of my dad’s car back when I was just 8 years old, he use to drive a chocolate brown Ford Escort. As I got older I remember joy riding around in a brown Mini Metro, luckily I never got caught. The first brown car I saw was the Audi R8 Spyder, which looked amazing. As more cars got released with the new 10 registration plate it seems it’s the new trend and Brown has become the new black. My favourite new car in brown is the Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet, followed closely by the Audi R8 Spyder. I’ve even seen an Audi A3 in a really dark brown colour which I loved. The most affordable brown car I would go for would be the Citroen DS3; I should p...

Kent Zoo, Best Tourism Experience in England

I’ve never bothered going to London Zoo, as I don’t like the idea of going to see animals from the wild in middle of a concrete city. My first ever trip to the Zoo was a drive up North, to one of London Zoo’s partners, Whipsnade Zoo which is near Luton. Even though it was a little less city like, I absolutely loved my time there and since have been planning to go back. Until now...I recently discovered Port Lympne, which is a Kent Zoo that’s actually closer to London then Luton and it’s based in the Garden of England, Kent! Port Lympne is more of a Wild Life Park in Kent and has a wonderful mixture of animals from all over the world. The park is run by the Aspinall Foundation a charity which does a wonderful job of looking after endangered species such as the Bengal Tiger and Black Rhino . There’s animal there I’ve never even heard of, which makes it more exciting to go visit this brilliant wild life park. Recently Port Lympne has been voted England’s best touri...

Mmmm Maybach Coupe

I’ve always seen the Maybach as an over-rated Mercedes. Even with its amazing luxury interior, modern technology and such extras as the assist button which can be used at anytime to get help finding the closest Italian Restaurant or whatever you may be looking for. I prefer the Bentley Arnage or Rolls Royce Phantom when it comes to looks. But these are cars you don’t buy to drive; you buy them to get driven around in. Personally I’d rather be in the driver’s seat and definitely not to drive someone around, I don’t think they’ll enjoy the luxuries at the speeds I plan to drive. This brings me to the new Maybach Coupe. At first glance I thought wow; this is the most attractive Maybach I’ve ever seen. Researching further I realised that this is actually a regular Maybach 57 which is being modified by a company called Xanatec with approval from Mercedes Maybach. The car looks a lot like a stretched out version of a Bentley Continental. But unlike the Bentley which h...
