Mmmm Maybach Coupe

I’ve always seen the Maybach as an over-rated Mercedes. Even with its amazing luxury interior, modern technology and such extras as the assist button which can be used at anytime to get help finding the closest Italian Restaurant or whatever you may be looking for. I prefer the Bentley Arnage or Rolls Royce Phantom when it comes to looks. But these are cars you don’t buy to drive; you buy them to get driven around in. Personally I’d rather be in the driver’s seat and definitely not to drive someone around, I don’t think they’ll enjoy the luxuries at the speeds I plan to drive.

This brings me to the new Maybach Coupe. At first glance I thought wow; this is the most attractive Maybach I’ve ever seen. Researching further I realised that this is actually a regular Maybach 57 which is being modified by a company called Xanatec with approval from Mercedes Maybach.

The car looks a lot like a stretched out version of a Bentley Continental. But unlike the Bentley which has slowly become boring due to their being so many out there the Maybach will be very exclusive, as their only making 100 of them and as with all Maybach’s you can customise the car with never ending luxuries.

The Maybach 57S Coupe will be on sale for just £666,500. I’d have to sell the equivalent of my house 3 times to buy such a car, so for now I think a car from my local Fiat Sunderland dealership is probably more towards what I can afford.

The price works out almost double to what a standard Maybach 57 costs, but you are getting a brand new interior and the car is modified to give a top speed of 171mph, it’s not a car if you looking for economy as it gives an average of 17.2mpg.

Not all Online Sign Language Courses are equal

On my mission to learn Sign Language in 2021, I did what most people would do and went to Google and searched “learn sign language”. A few places popped up and I realised as I’m the UK, I needed to be a little bit more specific, as in the UK it’s called British Sign Language or BSL. So, I went on to search “Learn British Sign Language online”. I’m no stranger to Google search engine results being a mixture of paid ad listing and listings that naturally pop up on the first page due to their ranking by Google. I wanted a good deal, so I clicked on some of the paid ads which pop up right at the top and here’s where my confusions began. I found website that offered BSL courses which seemed like a bargain, I could apparently sign up online and learn BSL Level 1 and BSL Level 2 and get certified at an 89% discounted price of just £14.00 – This was “a deal not to miss” I thought. But my gut was saying “you get what you pay for”. So, I investigated further to find out what I’m getti...

Brown is the new Black

The last couple of years saw a rise in cars being released in white. It’s a cool colour but it’s starting to get boring. So it’s good news to see that 2010 seems to be bringing new hues into the market; the most popular seems to be shades of Brown. As always fashion trends always go full circle, so seeing brown cars reminds me of my dad’s car back when I was just 8 years old, he use to drive a chocolate brown Ford Escort. As I got older I remember joy riding around in a brown Mini Metro, luckily I never got caught. The first brown car I saw was the Audi R8 Spyder, which looked amazing. As more cars got released with the new 10 registration plate it seems it’s the new trend and Brown has become the new black. My favourite new car in brown is the Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet, followed closely by the Audi R8 Spyder. I’ve even seen an Audi A3 in a really dark brown colour which I loved. The most affordable brown car I would go for would be the Citroen DS3; I should p...

I had Abarth

Lucky me got to drive an Abarth 500 through the weekend, after dreaming over it for months since it came out. In the time I waited and read the many reviews online, I got more and more excited and began planning how to get my hands on one. I couldn’t afford to just buy one and neither did I want to just test drive for a few hours. So my best bet was to wait until a rental company had it available on their fleet. It seems I was destined to drive the car, as I almost forgot how badly I wanted to take on out for the weekend, when one Friday my brother called me and said “do you still want an Abarth” and with no hesitation I said “Of course” and got it all booked in and delivered to my d oor. At first I had to chuckle to myself, because it was a cute car and almost looked like a little monster with its Scorpion badge and sharp cut alloy wheels. I jumped in and was already in love with its black and red interior and the super cool and a slightly oversized turbo meter stickin...
