Getting tired of traffic jams? Since I first watched The Jetsons on Cartoon Network, I’ve wanted a flying car that meant I could avoid pile ups on the motorway. I’ve always thought it was a bit of a pipe dream, until I found out that there is a car that flies!! Say hello to the Parajet Skycar, a crazy invention that combines an on-road buggy type thing with a parafoil that enables the car to become airborne.

Needing only a run up of 200m, the Parajet Skycar will reach a top speed of 100mph and means you may never have to worry about a traffic jam again. It’s less than a new Aston Martin as well – coming in at around £55,320.

Definitely worth considering, if you ask me!

Brown is the new Black

The last couple of years saw a rise in cars being released in white. It’s a cool colour but it’s starting to get boring. So it’s good news to see that 2010 seems to be bringing new hues into the market; the most popular seems to be shades of Brown. As always fashion trends always go full circle, so seeing brown cars reminds me of my dad’s car back when I was just 8 years old, he use to drive a chocolate brown Ford Escort. As I got older I remember joy riding around in a brown Mini Metro, luckily I never got caught. The first brown car I saw was the Audi R8 Spyder, which looked amazing. As more cars got released with the new 10 registration plate it seems it’s the new trend and Brown has become the new black. I made a mistake while “designing” this car...

I’m always keen to check out the cars of the future, so when I hear about a new car being released I’m usually straight on Google searching for an image of the new car. And when it comes to cars with a prestige ancestry I usually get even more excited. Until recently, I’ve now started to think these “designers” are making a mistake and I wish I had pursued my dream career of being a car designer; maybe I could have helped the industry. I’ll start with my most recent disaster design. I’m a big BMW Fan and when they go and make things like the New BMW X1, it really breaks my heart and makes me feel sick. The BMW X1 is basically the 4x4 version of.....you guessed it, the BMW 1 Series! Why we need another rubbish 4x4 is beyond me. Laziness or Genius – Honda’s Walking Assist

The world of Honda Innovations is a fascinating place. I recently came across this new invention and I had to really look twice to even accept that such an idea was thought up by somebody. At first I looked at it and thought, this is the world getting lazier by day. Surely we don’t need a machine to help us walk around; I thought we had the whole walking thing mastered centuries ago. The device didn’t look very attractive either and I couldn’t imagine seeing people walking around with a machine strapped to their legs. I thought I’d give the idea a chance and read further into the Walking Assist section on the Honda website. They claim this is a device to help people perform physically demanding activities, by making the body weight seem lighter. Effectively it helps reduce the load off your legs, while climbing up stairs, which apparently helps reduce fatigue and physical exertion.
