Ipad 2 in stock, but only at Orange?

I think there’s something fishy going on, I’ve now spent 3 weeks running around and calling stored to find out about ipad 2 stocks and each week I’ve been given hope by stores and then nothing.

On one of my encounters at Jonn Lewis in High Wycombe, I asked a one member of staff and she told me that 20 ipads came in that day and sold that day, I went on to ask another sales assistant and he explained that apparently they don’t get ipad 2 deliveries on a Saturday, which didn’t add up to what his colleague told me a few minutes earlier.

Now I say I think there’s something fishy going on because, on my ipad 2 hunting days I realized that phone shops such as Fones4U had them in stock but would only sell them on locked networks, even though you’re expected to pay full price for the ipad unless you took out a contract.

I then decided to contact a friend who worked at Orange and he kept me posted on how much stock they where getting. It’s unbelievable, while there’s no stock to be found in any high street electrical stores including the Apple store, which yesterday said they have ipad 2’s but only the wifi versions, there was still stock coming into Orange mobile phone shops every other day, even today I got a call tell me there’s 10 ipads that just came into stock, so I called other stores such as John Lewis, PC World but they still have nothing.

So my question is, how comes Apple is delivering to Orange and not others? I know my friends not bullshitting, I’ve gone and seen the stock myself, the only reason I can’t go for the ones there are because they are locked to Orange and second I refuse to have a credit check done on an item which is on Pay As You Go and I’m paying full price for it.

**For people who are searching to find out if the ipad 2 is locked on Orange, the answer is YES and they're not very willing to unlock them, I reckon Orange should be reported to Apple, its not fair they charge full price on an Ipad and do a credit check on the customers while selling them a Pay As You Go Sim and then they have the cheek to lock the ipad to their own network**

Not all Online Sign Language Courses are equal

On my mission to learn Sign Language in 2021, I did what most people would do and went to Google and searched “learn sign language”. A few places popped up and I realised as I’m the UK, I needed to be a little bit more specific, as in the UK it’s called British Sign Language or BSL. So, I went on to search “Learn British Sign Language online”. I’m no stranger to Google search engine results being a mixture of paid ad listing and listings that naturally pop up on the first page due to their ranking by Google. I wanted a good deal, so I clicked on some of the paid ads which pop up right at the top and here’s where my confusions began. I found website that offered BSL courses which seemed like a bargain, I could apparently sign up online and learn BSL Level 1 and BSL Level 2 and get certified at an 89% discounted price of just £14.00 – This was “a deal not to miss” I thought. But my gut was saying “you get what you pay for”. So, I investigated further to find out what I’m getti...

Brown is the new Black

The last couple of years saw a rise in cars being released in white. It’s a cool colour but it’s starting to get boring. So it’s good news to see that 2010 seems to be bringing new hues into the market; the most popular seems to be shades of Brown. As always fashion trends always go full circle, so seeing brown cars reminds me of my dad’s car back when I was just 8 years old, he use to drive a chocolate brown Ford Escort. As I got older I remember joy riding around in a brown Mini Metro, luckily I never got caught. The first brown car I saw was the Audi R8 Spyder, which looked amazing. As more cars got released with the new 10 registration plate it seems it’s the new trend and Brown has become the new black. My favourite new car in brown is the Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet, followed closely by the Audi R8 Spyder. I’ve even seen an Audi A3 in a really dark brown colour which I loved. The most affordable brown car I would go for would be the Citroen DS3; I should p...

I had Abarth

Lucky me got to drive an Abarth 500 through the weekend, after dreaming over it for months since it came out. In the time I waited and read the many reviews online, I got more and more excited and began planning how to get my hands on one. I couldn’t afford to just buy one and neither did I want to just test drive for a few hours. So my best bet was to wait until a rental company had it available on their fleet. It seems I was destined to drive the car, as I almost forgot how badly I wanted to take on out for the weekend, when one Friday my brother called me and said “do you still want an Abarth” and with no hesitation I said “Of course” and got it all booked in and delivered to my d oor. At first I had to chuckle to myself, because it was a cute car and almost looked like a little monster with its Scorpion badge and sharp cut alloy wheels. I jumped in and was already in love with its black and red interior and the super cool and a slightly oversized turbo meter stickin...
