Seat Leon Cupra R or VW Scirocco R

Seats aren’t regarded as the coolest cars out there, but this new SEAT Leon Cupra R pretty damn cool. It comes with turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine, which pushes out 261bhp! The Seat Leon Cupra S can zoom up to a top speed of 155 mph, which is pretty amazing.

It comes standard with 19inch double spoke Potenza alloy wheels and proper bucket seats, like racing cars have. It’s been styled out to look real sleek and sporty. It's rear styling reminds me of the VW Golf R32, with the twin exhausts in the middle.

Seat Leon London and UK dealerships will start taking orders for the Seat Leon Cupra R on April the 1st 2010.

I say I like the Seat Leon Cupra R, but at the price of £25,205 I could go buy a VW Scirocco R for a little bit more, which seems alright as I think the Scirocco looks better. Underneath I reckon they are the same car, it’s just the Scirocco is better dressed. Volkswagen Scirocco gives out more power that the Leon Cupra R, by only by 2 more bhp’s and has its top speed restricted to 155mph, which is exactly the same as the Leon.

Brown is the new Black

The last couple of years saw a rise in cars being released in white. It’s a cool colour but it’s starting to get boring. So it’s good news to see that 2010 seems to be bringing new hues into the market; the most popular seems to be shades of Brown. As always fashion trends always go full circle, so seeing brown cars reminds me of my dad’s car back when I was just 8 years old, he use to drive a chocolate brown Ford Escort. As I got older I remember joy riding around in a brown Mini Metro, luckily I never got caught. The first brown car I saw was the Audi R8 Spyder, which looked amazing. As more cars got released with the new 10 registration plate it seems it’s the new trend and Brown has become the new black. My favourite new car in brown is the Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet, followed closely by the Audi R8 Spyder. I’ve even seen an Audi A3 in a really dark brown colour which I loved. The most affordable brown car I would go for would be the Citroen DS3; I should p...

I made a mistake while “designing” this car...

I’m always keen to check out the cars of the future, so when I hear about a new car being released I’m usually straight on Google searching for an image of the new car. And when it comes to cars with a prestige ancestry I usually get even more excited. Until recently, I’ve now started to think these “designers” are making a mistake and I wish I had pursued my dream career of being a car designer; maybe I could have helped the industry. I’ll start with my most recent disaster design. I’m a big BMW Fan and when they go and make things like the New BMW X1, it really breaks my heart and makes me feel sick. The BMW X1 is basically the 4x4 version of.....you guessed it, the BMW 1 Series! Why we need another rubbish 4x4 is beyond me. The next one almost brings me to tears and I’ve mentioned it before, the Aston Martin Cygnet. Why would Aston Martin even think about making this, it’s not even their own car design disaster! Toyota made the mistake and for some reason Aston...

Laziness or Genius – Honda’s Walking Assist

The world of Honda Innovations is a fascinating place. I recently came across this new invention and I had to really look twice to even accept that such an idea was thought up by somebody. At first I looked at it and thought, this is the world getting lazier by day. Surely we don’t need a machine to help us walk around; I thought we had the whole walking thing mastered centuries ago. The device didn’t look very attractive either and I couldn’t imagine seeing people walking around with a machine strapped to their legs. I thought I’d give the idea a chance and read further into the Walking Assist section on the Honda website. They claim this is a device to help people perform physically demanding activities, by making the body weight seem lighter. Effectively it helps reduce the load off your legs, while climbing up stairs, which apparently helps reduce fatigue and physical exertion. I suppose I can see the benefits of Honda’s Walking Assist, especially for people w...
