I had Abarth

Lucky me got to drive an Abarth 500 through the weekend, after dreaming over it for months since it came out. In the time I waited and read the many reviews online, I got more and more excited and began planning how to get my hands on one. I couldn’t afford to just buy one and neither did I want to just test drive for a few hours. So my best bet was to wait until a rental company had it available on their fleet. It seems I was destined to drive the car, as I almost forgot how badly I wanted to take on out for the weekend, when one Friday my brother called me and said “do you still want an Abarth” and with no hesitation I said “Of course” and got it all booked in and delivered to my d oor. At first I had to chuckle to myself, because it was a cute car and almost looked like a little monster with its Scorpion badge and sharp cut alloy wheels. I jumped in and was already in love with its black and red interior and the super cool and a slightly oversized turbo meter stickin...

Citroen DS4 Revealed

I was impressed by Citroens efforts when they released the DS3 back in spring 2010. Although I reckon after all that hype the car hasn’t done that well. Purely going by the fact I hardly see them on road. But maybe its uniqueness didn’t appeal to all; I myself wasn’t too keen on it until I saw it in real life. Citroen have just released the pictures of the new Citroen DS4 and I must say it’s looking pretty cool. I much prefer it to the recent similar sized vehicles released by Vauxhall or Ford. I can also see the new DS4 coming out in a variety of models and I look forward to what they produce to be in competition with the Vauxhall VXR’s and Ford ST’s. The Citroen DS4 is a 5 door hatchback, which is styled to look like a 3 door hatch, which is quiet common now. It will come with a choice of 5 engines, 2 of which will be diesel and one which will be a racing standard engine, which will be tuned to produce 197bhp. The DS3 tempted me to go for a Citroen, but I let th...

Brixton Pound

Yup, this caught me by surprise too. This is not a joke; Brixton has actually launched its own currency, the Brixton Pound. For those who don’t know where Brixton is, it’s an area of South London, well known for things like the Brixton Academy, Electric Avenue and a number of various other things, which are mainly negative so I won’t get in to it. The Brixton pound has been created to promote local people to spend their money on local goods. It’s only accepted in Brixton and the idea has been taken from 3 other town in the UK. In order to get these new Brixton pounds, you would have to go to an exchange point and then spend them in Brixton and the idea is that they will hopefully stay in circulation locally. Personally I don’t see why I’d go out my way to change my normal pounds to Brixton pounds, when I can just use my normal pounds. The only reason I’d go for these Brixton pounds would be for novelty. Staff working for the shops accepting the Brixton Pound can...

Importance of Business Identity

In this day and age it seems that even with the best staff and most attractive of locations your business identity isn’t recognised without a decent logo to advertise your brand. Your logo is your brand ID and the right image can become memorable to your current customers as well as something that will pop in to the minds of potential customers. Naturally we tend to recall images in our mind of companies logos before we can figure out what their called. For example if I said HMV, the first thing that pops to mind is a gramophone and dog. Your logo also creates first impressions and potential customers will make assumptions towards your company based on your logo and also where and how it’s advertised. This brings us to modern day advertising; one of the best forms of advertising at the moment is vinyl printing on to your company vehicles. Not only is it cheap, but easily achievable and you get to advertise every mile you drive. Van sign writing in Kent is off...

New Ford Focus 2011

The Ford Focus was first released in 1994 and now 16 years on we see the 3 rd Generation of Ford Focus’s getting ready to be released early 2011. Described as the most important product in 25 years by Ford boss Alan Mullaly. This will be the first Ford Focus to be sold as one design across the globe, as previously the models varied a little country to country. As with all previous Ford Focus cars, this new model is set to be popular. The current Focus has excellent handling for its class and the new Focus has been promised to have even better handling with the introduction of multilink rear suspension and new variable power steering system. It should be exciting to see the new Ford Focus range of ST and RS models, which have always been a favourite to the UK market. Apparently on this new model Ford are looking at providing a new 1.6 “EcoBoost” Turbo petrol engines, which will give more power than the current 2.0litre engine. This is very similar to VW’s Golf TSi m...
